OT - A more permanent solution is to just buy a 20 amp
receptacle outlet. Easy to install and uses your existing
wiring and circuit breaker. Just don't pull 20 amps of
power and you will be fine. I've installed 20 amp outlets
on 15 amp circuits in my house to accomodate the plugs and
it worked great.
