It's pretty clear from Cisco's website that the 3550s are being replaced
but since we don't have an exact date it's better to practice with both
for now.
The differences between the 3550 and 3560 aren't major but there still
are differences.

The reason you MAY see a mix of 3550s and 3560s is because they are in
process of changing all the switches. If you are planning to take the
exam
after three to four months it is much better to practice on 3560s, but
if
you are planning to take the exam sooner, I agree that you should play
with
both switches.
