Hello group,
I am unable to use CHAP authentication under Multilink, hence I am relying on using the alternate solution in the workbook but it seems to be incomplete.
The task requires that R4 should offer the username ROUTER4 and password CISCO4 while R5 should offer the username ROUTER5 and password CISCO5. The solution does not use the PPP CHAP HOSTNAME command and as such the authentication id of both routers defaults to their respective hostnames. Authentication is unsuccessful. I have tried setting the username and password under the template SERIAL but it hasn't worked. I have also tried setting the two parameters under the serial interface but also unsuccessful.
As anyone come across this same problem? I would be grateful for any suggestions.
