I ran into the EXACT same issue.
Not being one to visit the doctor much - I self diagnosed myself with
Carpal Tunnel and bought two braces (one for each hand and wrist).
I found these braces QUICKLY cured the pain. In fact - I only needed to
wear them while I slept each night after studying.
The pain has never returned now that the CCIE has been achieved and my
long stressful typing sessions have been reduced.

it could be Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I'd suggest you to go to see a
doctor, if not cured can become chronic.

Sorry for a not directly related topic with the
studies but last six months
I have been heavily doing typing and doing lot of
labs.
I did realize some pain on my wrists last month. Now, more pain and
numbness
on the fingers.
My exam is in 19 days now, so this issue is stressing
me out more now.
Did any of you guys have the same type of issue?
I even
bought wrist bag and mouse bag, it helped little bit but not that
much.
I
bought a new keyboard, put it on different angles while i type, that
helped
little bit more, but not that much either.
So, let me know if you have any
suggestions on this issue.
I am very curious to know if anybody else out there
have the same issue or
not.
