RE: Redistribution

Are your redundant links going to be off of the same router on your end, or
different routers?

If your redundant links are off of the same router (EIGRP's view) I would
suggest taking the simple way. Originate a 0/0 route into EIGRP so that
your internal routers now have a way out. Let BGP handle it's redundancy on
that single router so that you have centralized your decision making.

I agree with Brian that redistributing BGP into an IGP is generally not a
wise move. Particularly if you have only one path out! A router's
efficiency is very often linked to the size of its routing table. So don't
make life overly complicated!

Keep it simple!

Tony,

It depends on how big your BGP view is. If it's a full view with
150,000 - 200,000 routes then you definitely do not want to redistribute it
into IGP. If it is a much smaller subnet then maybe depending on your
internal routers' free resources. You may also consider originating default
routes from your border routers into your EIGRP domain. If you need more
specific traffic engineering then you can leak any specific routes you want
in from the BGP domain. Also if you have firewalls on your edge or are
running NAT you need to take any asymmetrical routing into account otherwise
traffic flows could be dropped.
