Ooops, I didn't read your mail completely:
You also need to set the config-register to 0x2101
The flash will then be read-write.

Use the command:
erase /no-squeeze-reserve-space flash:
The "/no-squeeze-reserve-space" option frees up an otherwise reserved space.

Hello everyone,
i am trying to download an ios into my 2500 router. i am getting this
errors message:
%Error: Image size exceeds free space
%FLH: Flash download failed
when i do sh flash this is what i get:
  BB1#sh flash
  System flash directory:
File Length Name/status

[12940608 bytes used, 3836608 available, 16777216 total] 16384K bytes of

i know there is not enough space. The problem is during the before the

How do i change processor board System flash to (Read/Write)
  Thanks,
