Ladies and Gentleman

Its emails like this, that I wish we could Null Bucket

If we fail we are broken but should we pass we worry about the number of
people passing because of the validity of the certification!

In the 11 years that the CCIE program has been running there has been 16000
certified CCIE's - that 16000 certified CCIE in R&S, SP, Security, Voice,
Storage and ISP Dial

There is probably 16000 CCNP's in San Francisco alone, no disrespect to the
CCNP certification, and with the new CCNP being launched in December I am
sure the CCNP population is going to slow down with all the new additions.

That's what makes Cisco so successful they are always refining the
certifications making it tougher and tougher

Lets also understand a lot of the engineers passing the lab at this stage
are engineers that have been attempting the lab for the last 2 to 3 years on
the average of 3 attempts +.

We also never hear of the engineers that have attempted so many times that
they have given up. I am sure there are many more engineers failing the lab
and giving up then engineers passing the labs.

In summary I think we should be happy for the people passing, and feel
comfortable that cisco know very well what the value of a CCIE is and also
feel comfortable in the fact that they will keep the standards high, and I
pray that I will soon be part of the CCIE league of engineers!

Best Regards
