At the current average rate calculated in past 8 months, we should have
reached the current 17k+ mark in 6 years.
And its surely more than 6 years CCIE has been introduced. So my observation
is based upon the same.
It could also be familarity of the CLI and technology growing more at mass
scales which is attracting more takers as experienced people, who has been
groomed over the last couple of years.
