Subject: CCIE 17018...

Talk about an email I've been waiting to send out for a while. I
passed yesterday in RTP on my third attempt. Turns out all the
previous congratulations emails were right, perseverance and
dedication (and a little bit of luck) are the ingredients. I started
studying in March and finally reached the first plateau yesterday.

As for my preparation... I used InternetworkExperts with the help of
both the Brian's. Scott Morris also contributed between the list and
a training class I attended. I personally found the Brian's
Class-on-Demands and lab structure very helpful. When it came to Mock
Labs I used both the Assessor labs, Brian's, and NMC. I would
recommend not putting all of your eggs in one basket and making sure
you at least see some Mock Labs from some of the other vendors. The
rationale for this is so you don't get too used to the way the labs
are written from one particular group.

All in all, I recommend the Brian's material, flavored with Mock Labs
from NMC and the Assessor (at least that's what I found to be best for
me).

Thanks to all who have helped on the list as it is the best place to
share your thoughts when you see a lab requirement and go,
"whhaaaaaa?". Thanks again and I'll start reading the list once again
once I get some nice relaxation time :-).
