Re: router port on 3350

you could configure both ports as switchports in, let's say vlan40. Then
you configure the ip address 10.1.1.2/24 on "interfave vlan40". you can
then configure your pc with address 10.1.1.5/24

this pretty much does it unless, of course, you HAVE to configure port
f0/1 as L3. If that's the case, I cannot think of a way to do it, given
that IOS does not let you configure 2 interfaces on the same subnet... you
could try playing with PBR and/or splitting the /24 in 2 x /25s... not
sure if you want to go that far though. AFAIK, IRB is not supported on
C3500s.

hope this helps,
pablo.

Subject
router port on 3350

Folks
  I have a confusion here

  R1----------------------(f0/1)SW(f0/5)---------PC

R1 is connected to L3 port of the 3550 switch

  R1 fast ethernet port is 10.1.1.1 /24
Fast0/1 on Sw is configured as L3 port with IP addres 10.1.1.2/24

  !
interface FastEthernet0/1
 description To R1
 no switchport
 ip address 10.1.1.2 255.255.255.0
!

I wonder , is there anyway that i put the PC on the same subnet with
both the switch and the router ?? say ip add 10.1.1.5/24 ??

  appreciate any input
