RP/MA, I can see the significant of 'autorp listener'.
My understanding is 224.0.1.39/224.0.1.40 should flow in dense mode. How
come the neighbor router still able to learn the RP without 'autorp
listener' in sparse mode?
Please correct my understanding.

Both devices have direct connections to the RP / Mapper
Hang a device off of R3 and move the join-group to that device, try to ping
again and see what happens.
