Hi Everyone,
GroupStudy's mailing list server went down (thus no e-mails :-).
Backups are automatically generated each each night and weekly the
servers swap backups for safe keeping (Between Austin, Nevada, and
Atlanta).
After years of swapping backups, the backups filled all available space
on the list server thus shutting down the mail application. I have
cleared out the server and we should be back in business.
I do want to say something about sending test messages on the list.
Please don't do it. If you think there is a problem please make 100%
sure it is not your e-mail server. If you are sure the problem is not
on your end, please send me an e-mail about the problem.
This list is pretty much on auto-pilot and unless someone tells me there
is a problem, it may not get fixed. We would still be down if it was
not for a quick e-mail from Scott Morris telling me this issue (thanks
Scott!).
Sending test messages to the list does not really help. If it is a
problem on your end ... you have now just annoyed 20k people with your
test message. If it is on our end, nobody will receive the message to
fix the problem. So a private e-mail to myself may be more efficient.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Paul Borghese
