Thanks a lot Sabrina, this is exactly the kind of info I was looking for.
By the way, I only gave a partial view of the entire topology.
Router A does connect to Area 0 via a virtual link but I thought it was irrelevant.
There are about 5 more routers participating in this network placed in different areas including 0.
