Dear group,
I am a bit confused about the use of bogus router-ids for OSPF during
the real lab.
At the moment, I am using for my OSPF routers bogus router-ids like
0.0.0.1 for R1, 0.0.0.2 for R2...
without having loopback interfaces with that ip addresses. This gives me
a very good overview
of my ospf databases... ;-)
What do you suggest for the real CCIE lab? Is it OK to go with bogus
router-IDs or should
I use the real looback addresses instead? Does the lab guide gives any
constraints about the router ids?
What is "best practice" for the lab?
Heiko
