Hi Josef,
From your email, I'm unsure if you're aware of this announcement from Cisco:
While access to Cisco product documentation will still be available during
CCIE lab exams at the Documentation Website (UniversCD) at
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/home/home.htm, candidates will no longer be able
to use the search function on that site. The search has been disabled due to a
change in the way product documentation is maintained at Cisco. Instead,
candidates should be prepared to use the drop-down index to navigate the
Documentation Website (UniversCD).

I haven't been back to the lab since this was implemented to be able to
comment.
HTH,
Sean

Thanks Sean. I also agree that there would certainly be no google access in
the lab. Before the new search interface, it was possible to search cisco.com
with the "keyword +univercd". I'm not certain if we can still do this in the
Lab using the new search interface; my presumption is that we get the same
search interface in the Lab. Any thoughts?
Thanks and Regards
Josef

Hi Josef,
Use the power of Google. Search for:
site: http://www.cisco.com/univercd/home/home.htm xxxx
Where xxxx is your search criteria.
You can add to the URL if you want to search only in certain folders.
For
example, to find out about OSPF in only 12.3 folders:
site:http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios123/123c
gcr
/ ospf
Unfortunately, this trick can't be used in the lab.
HTH,
Sean
