IGP and BGP are preconfigured, but you will probably be required to add
additional configuration. Can't go into specific details for obvious
reasons, but what the blueprint says is misleading. Be prepared to add
your own security.
Below is my addendum to blueprint:
IGP Routing
1. OSPF, EIGRP and RIP configurations (pre-configured, but additional
config may be required)
2. OSPF, EIGRP and RIP security (pre-configured?, don't count on it)
3. PIX routing
4. VPN3000 routing
5. Route filtering, redistribution, summarization and other advanced
IGP features
BGP
1. Basic IBGP, EBGP and BGP backbone configurations (pre-configured,
but additional config may be required)
2. BGP security
3. Summarization, filtering and advanced BGP features
Good luck!

Mike,
Since you've just come from the lab I was wondering if you could shed
some lite on the following question from another thread:
Hello,
I read the CCIE Security blue print and it stated basic IGP and BGP will
be preconfigured.
Can anyone in the group had taken the lab confirm that is true or not.
Thanks,
Dusty
I guess the question comes down to how much R&S is required and how much
of the lab concentrates on Cisco's security blueprint. I know you're
limited on what you can say. I'm just looking for general comments
like:
"you better know OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and Frame Relay like the back of your
hand"
or
"Best to concentrate on securing those protocols and knowing rest of
Cisco's security blueprint"
Any guidance is much appreciated.
Thomas
(scheduled to lab in December)

I just took the security lab in san jose and the vpn concentrator
Crashed 4 times while I tried to assign an ip to interface.
After the proctor fumbled around with it for awhile, he went over and
physically reset the device. This appeared to resolve the problem. I did
not get any of this time back. Not sure how that would have been handled
remotely.
Good luck!
Mike
