Part of this is a lesson in being given enough keywords to look around the
DocCD and find something useful....

No matter how much you study, there's no way to memorize everything...

There are various pieces here. All of which can be found by looking at the
Command Reference guide - IP Routing Protocols - OSPF.

/rte_osph.htm#wp1091871

Other parts simply involve drawing a diagram, figuring out what may normally
happen, and how to make it not happen. Being an expert at any of these
technologies involves thinking outside of the "normal" way to do things in
order to meet certain criteria.

Subject: Section 19:Multiprotocol Challenge A IPEXPERT OSPF # 2

Hello Everyone,
i am struggling with this comment below. Please help. Never heard this
before
Configure OSPF without using network command. i checked RFC2328 with no
help
  Can someone explain this clearly.
  The lab said:
enable ospf process on R1 and R2. configure both routers to not use the
RFC2328 version of setting metrics on summary routes. when viewing show
commands about OSPF, instead of the router id of neighbors the hostname
should be seen instead. make sure that this routing process does not
directly exchange routing information with other ospf neighbor. do not use
the network command on either router regarding interfaces in this ospf
process. R1 should have all interfaces in area 17. R2 should have only it's
LAN interface shared with R1 placed in area 17.

  thanks,

  TM
