Hello Everyone,
i am struggling with this comment below. Please help. Never heard this before
Configure OSPF without using network command. i checked RFC2328 with no help
Can someone explain this clearly.
The lab said:
enable ospf process on R1 and R2. configure both routers to not use the RFC2328 version of setting metrics on summary routes. when viewing show commands about OSPF, instead of the router id of neighbors the hostname should be seen instead. make sure that this routing process does not directly exchange routing information with other ospf neighbor. do not use the network command on either router regarding interfaces in this ospf process. R1 should have all interfaces in area 17. R2 should have only it's LAN interface shared with R1 placed in area 17.
