Hi Udo, want to learn really how to configure this?
Take a Shot at the InternetworkExperts CODs, but if you like to read the
Jeff Doyle Book is a good OSPF recommendation.
There are many combinations that you can configure this, understanding for
example what really means NBMA Clouds is the first step in understanding Why
OSPF chooses the network type NON-Broadcast for that media, in a summary
no-Broadcast, no Default operation for OSPF (224.0.0.5 and 6), so you must
tune Ospf to behave to that non default-configuration, multicasting LSAs.
Frame-relay point-to-multipoint and the physical interface is the same
thing, think of this like an Ethernet but without broadcast.
You would only need to set the neighbor command in the DR pointing to the
IPV4 Directly connected interface for your drothers (neighbors by setting
the ip ospf prio 0 (default 1), in the interfaces at the spoke to avoid
being elected as DR, that could case bad LSA transmission because of the no
direct connection to other spokes), and if I'm not missing something, you
would not require to do nothing more.
The use of debug ip ospf adj combined with a debug frame-relay packet with
Coffee, and like 10 Hours sitting in front of the routers can beat this
little OSPF over any media devil.

Asunto: OSPF over Frame-Relay
Hi Group,
sometimes when I work through my labs I'm really confused how to
configure ospf over Frame-Relay.
For example, I had a frame-relay cloud with a hub and spoke topologie.
One router had a multipoint interface and the other routers have only
physical interfaces ....
The question is do not change the network type on any router.
OK, what can I do ? Default to physical interface is non-broadcast and
the hub had point-to-multipoint...
Should I change the timer and configure with the neighbor command the
spokes ?
Udo
