(I thought I?) that at one point we needed this to make IPv6 function on the
3550, however when looking over the current 3550/60 docs one of the general
guidelines for this feature is: "All protocols except IP (Version 4 and
Version 6), Address Resolution Protocol (ARP), reverse ARP (RARP), LOOPBACK,
and Frame Relay ARP are fallback bridged."
Does anyone else recall this or did I dream it all?
(which IS quite possible)
Even better - if that used to be the case, then when did it change?
