With a Sup720 you have fabric, so investing in a non-fabric enabled module may not be the best investment/decision. I would say go for the WS-X6548-GE-45AF. We have good success with these and there is no need for the daughter card as on the other WS-X65xx blade you mention. Both have the same Q structure & 1MB buffer per 8 ports, so I'd just keep it simple and do the -GE-45AF.
(Hint: if you have a handfull of 1000 ports you maywant to split them among the ASIC's - not sure what 1000M ports are using PoE???, just a suggestion to minimize congestion)
If you need other blades for the 6500 series that do not need PoE, then look for WS-X67xx... (I am hearing the PoE version(s) will be availble soon - check with your SE and/or the NSP list - if you can't call/contact your SE then get the acct mgr. or email me directly and I'll see if I can help get you in touch with someone. If all else fails, your vendor should be on top of this.)
Stay clear of the WS-X61xx... if at all possible. (a.k.a. "legacy")
I gather you have read the relevant module listing @

In case you have not checked out this link browse the Q&A @ http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/hw/switches/ps708/products_qanda_item09186a0080159963.shtml
(In case there is another variable applicable to your configuration not mentioned in your post)

Hi Group,
I've been trying to get hold of my Cisco Rep. to no avail.
I need to come up with a quote for a couple of blades, 48 port 10/100/1000
PoE, for a 6509.
I see there are multiple blades that could fit the bill on the Cisco
website.
Which one should I be getting? i don't need to do jumbo frames and they are
getting paired with SUP720s.
WS-X6548-GE-45AF
WS-X6548V-GE-TX
WS-X6148A-GE-45AF
WS-X6148-GE-45AF
WS-X6148V-GE-TX
What is everyone else using??
TIA
