Great question since they appear to have similarilities. I would also
say to consult the docCD on this one, but the demand option is used for
the backup link scencarios to keep the link from going up and down due
to changes in the topology (only the first time). On the
flood-reduction, the flooding of LSAs is avoided by letting the
connection to be marked as "do not age", thereby avoiding the flooding
of LSAs. On this one, you will only want to use it for circuits that
are stable.
