Hi Kay,
Sort of...what happens when you use the mac-address sticky is you are
telling the switch to take the mac it learns on the port and record it.
However, it only records it in the running config, not the startup. Note
the following output:
Running -
switchport port-security
switchport port-security mac-address sticky
switchport port-security mac-address sticky 0017.0e7e.8641
Startup -
switchport port-security
switchport port-security mac-address sticky
To make this survive a reboot, you must save the config after the port has
learned the mac-address.
