Hi,
Anyone have a good handle on what a prefix based
method of.....
I have seen many questions that say not to use a
prefix based method or implement a prefix based
method. I always take this to mean anything that
filters on an IP address. I think a prefix is
synonymous with an IP address: prefix mask is the
mask. So, if I were told not to use a prefix based
method, I would assume I could neither use an ACL nor
prefix list.
Don't use a prefix based method to remove a route from
an OSPF redistribution...
for example, I would assume the following are bad
Route-map whyme
match ip add 1
or
match ip add pref x
maybe we can match interface...
