DHCP issues on Cisco 2801 router

Hello,

I had configured DHCP on Cisco 2801 Router. It was started working.
Nodes were getting IPs but soon we discovered the same IP address is going to
2 or sometime 3 nodes & they had shown IP conflict. HOW it possible to DHCP
will broadcast same IP address to multi nodes? I'm surprised. Could it be IOS
issue or something else?
