Question on CCNA and CCNP recertification

    Hello,

I checked an e-mail that I got from the Cisco Career Certifications
Annual Program Statement and for valid certifications it showed my
CCIE lab but my CCNA and CCNP showed under previously earned
certifications. I looked at the valid through dates and the CCNA and
each CCNP test has different valid through dates untill the last CCNP
test I took which was in 11/2003. I took the CCIE R&S written on 05-
Jun-2002 and 03-Jun-2004 but it looks like since I did not take the
CCIE written after October 1, 2004 it did not renew it. My question
is to my CCNA and CCNP it looks like to re-certify I can either take
the 642-891 or retake the CCIE written is this correct? Also since I
passed the lab over 6 months ago if I retook the 642-891 or the CCIE
written will that recertify me for another two years? It seems kinda
odd to me that passing the CCIE lab did not re-certify the lower
tests. This seems like a way that Cisco is using to scam every penny
it can.
