Hi Aamir,

The main difference between them is the "ip default-gateway" command is
used in Layer 2 so imagine you have a 3550 that there is no routing
working on it "ip routing" so this command will create a gateway if
needed for this equipment, but in case you have Layer 3 working on it the
"ip default-gateway" has no effect at all so "ip default-network" needs
to be used in for example using RIP as your routing protocol you will see
The Gateway of Last Resort as 0.0.0.0 pointing to the route that you have
configure through the default network command.
