Hello All,
Well I have this dilemma of the use of Tunnels in Multicast (seems that the
tunnel interfaces are the Ave maria or the strange problems, and I do not
like that)
R5 -S0/0==== FR ===== S0/0- R3 -e0/0 ====== -f0/3 Sw1
The question state that R3 should be RP for groups X Y Z and R5 should be
the RP for M, U ,Q (simple standard access-list and ip pim send-rp-announce
in R5 and R3)
But I get this output from the deb ip mp
IP(0): s=150.1.3.3 (Serial0/0) d=224.0.1.40 (Ethernet0/0) id=7736, prot=17,
len=54(54), mforward
IP(0): s=150.1.3.3 (Serial0/0) d=224.0.1.39 id=7739, prot=17, len=58(54),
mroute olist null
From my understanding:
The traffic sent to the Mapping Agent for the RP registration fails to
arrive because it is the same interface we use to receive the RP Information
from R3 Correct?
So I need to create a Tunnel for this particular case? Is there any other
option? (off course BSR could help but the Task asks for Auto-RP)
Thanks
Victor.
