Multicast question

Hi guys

i have a question, lets say i configure multicast on couple of routers and
at the far end router i give the igrp group 228.28.28.28 command and do a
ping from other router and it doesnt ping and on this router where i do ping
i do show ip mroute and outgoing interface of 228.28.28.28 is null, what is
the first thing to check??
