Dave,

AFAIK, when you put "mls qos cos override" , you actually
override any _trust_ state for a port. So with Fa 0/4 you
will mark with CoS _every_ frame, even those sent by
IP-Phone itself.

You also forgot to configure which option you trust, e.g.
"mls qos trust cos"

AFAIK, by itself "mls qos trust device cisco-phone" does nothing,
just instucts to remove trust state in case of IP-Phone is gone.

So if you need to force change to PC's CoS you should probably use "legacy-like" switchport priority extend cos command.
