I would just caution you to remember that the inject-map is only used to
add a more specific route of an existing parent route.

The command reference has a pretty detailed example of this behavior. A
real world example would be providing transit to only a certain subset
of network, or partitioning off access to specific hosts within your
environment.

Basically, the bgp inject-map is one of the ways that the router can
inject a route in bgp conditionally, based on the presence of a specific
learned route. It is good to know all the ways to inject a prefix in
BGP....network statements, redistribution, inject maps. Did I miss any?
