George,
In transparent mode VLAN's are not replicated you have two create
the vlans on the switches you want them on.
If you create VLAN 10 on both switches and ensure there is a trunk
which transport the vlan it will work.

Subject: VTP mode Transparent !!
i have sw1 & sw2 both in transparent mode..but interfaces fa0/10 on both the
switches are connected thru ether-channel running PagP..and encap dot1q..
Vlan 10 is configured on sw1 and 'switchport trunk allowed vlan 10' is
configured on both the switchs 'ether-channel' mode..
Wouldnt vlan 10 be shown on sw2 also ?..i dont see this happening..Both
switches are running VTP version 2..
sw1:
====
interface FastEthernet0/10
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk allowed vlan 10
switchport mode trunk
channel-group 1 mode desirable
!
interface Port-channel1
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk allowed vlan 10
switchport mode trunk
!
sw2:
===
interface FastEthernet0/10
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk allowed vlan 10
switchport mode trunk
channel-group 1 mode desirable
!
interface Port-channel1
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk allowed vlan 10
switchport mode trunk
!
