I might be interpreting this incorrectly but I don't quite see the need
for using the backdoor feature or for using communities to complete this
requirement. Since you are getting a RIB failure that means (most of the
times) that you have a better route in the routing table (You have learnt
the same route via another routing protocol with a better administrative
distance). Assuming that the question implies that the x.x.10.0 network
shouldn't be seen as a BGP route in the Global Routing table it seems you
have achieved the objective. Please correct me if I am wrong. Can you
include a show ip route and the configs if possible. Thanks
