Did you changed your console speed for any IOS update.
Change your console speed just to check with 115000bps and other speeds
accordinly.

I have a problem with 1711 router, I configured the router to support VPN to
a remote site. When I removed the router from the Rack and reloaded (with
the power on/off button) the router gets stuck in after the message
" Press Return to get started" and I pressed the Return key atleast 100
times but no response.
However when I connect through a cable, I can ping and telnet the box.
I need help on this.
