This is ridiculous why is there so much focus on this crap on the list. I
thought this was used as a study group. This stuff should be left alone, for
crying out loud. If anybody has a problem STFU and go read a book.. study...
that's why I'm here. Can't we all just get along ?????

Subject: Argument over Logos and Usage
Yes,
Some folks are wrong for putting all of their earned logos in their
signature block.
Yes, some folks seem to be genuinely confused between if Career
Certifications and the CCIE Certifiation are on the same track...
No, We did not come here to listen to one person berate and correct another
person on the usage of their Logos.
Personally, unless you are in charge of the program or have the ability to
manifest a formal reprisal to the person or persons in question, what is the
point...
Do you need to feel like a parent of other people?
Hmmm...
I think everyone who is in question should consult the Logo usage
guidelines.
1. The Career Certifications are a different family of Certifications than
the CCIE Certifications. Therefore if you are a CCNP, CCSP, CCIP, CQS, etc.
you can probably feel listing them alongside your CCIE.
2. Career Certifications that are of a higher tier do not and are
recommended by Cisco to not be listed along side the pre-requisite
certification.
Example: a CCNP (who has a CCNA) would only use the following for a
signature block:
Darby Weaver
CCNP
not
Darby Weaver
CCNP CCNA
However, a CCNP with a CCDA would use the following:
Darby Weaver
CCNP CCDA
etc.
Now if one were a CCIE then it might look like the follwoing:
Darby Weaver
CCIE #xxxxx CCNP CCSP CCDP CCIP IPCC UCSE
If I am incorrect, please let me know...
However, I did consult both references earlier last week on this same
question and the CCIE Logo Usage Guidelines make no references to the Career
Certifications.
Further, while the Career Certifications explicitly list the desgnated
certifications, they did not list the CCIE.
Another tidbit, is that Cisco "Recommends" not using a CCNP with a lower
order cert like say the CCNA, it does not necessarily enforce this rule.
However, the CCIE program does have a formal system for reporting violations
of their Logo Usage Guidelines.
This is what I took from the logo guidelines, if I am mistaken, please cite
your example.
I used the Career Certification Logo Guidelines from
cisco.com/go/certifications and the CCIE Logo Guidelines from
cisco.com/go/ccie
I can dig up the exact references if needed.
