RE: EIGRP K-Mismatch values ?

Sorry - just read the rest of the thread. I assume by no enable access you
mean no access at all to the router. Interesting question.. I've never had
to guess the values on a router that I didn't have access to. I would be
curious if there was a way to figure that out though.

R2>show ip prot

Routing Protocol is "eigrp 2"

Outgoing update filter list for all interfaces is not set

Incoming update filter list for all interfaces is not set

Default networks flagged in outgoing updates

Default networks accepted from incoming updates

  EIGRP metric weight K1=1, K2=0, K3=1, K4=0, K5=0

  EIGRP maximum hopcount 100

  EIGRP maximum metric variance 1

  Redistributing: eigrp 2

Automatic network summarization is not in effect

  Maximum path: 4

  Routing for Networks:

    172.1.1.0/24

  Routing Information Sources:

    Gateway Distance Last Update

No enable access is needed for the above command.

Knowing the values for MTU BW DLY etc. will not help in this case, the issue

is with a mismatch of the K values, indicating that either R5 or BB have had

the metric weights configured to be something different than the default.

_

c/ipcprt2/1cfeigrp.htm#wp1001020

Shows a second case of when this error message can be displayed, and that

will only happen if you have a version of code that does not support the

EIGRP goodbye message talking to one that does.

If the issue is R5 has default metric weights, BB has had them changed and

there is no enable access to BB, I don't actually know of a debug on R5 that

will display the K values configured on the BB router, if anyone can provide

that info, it would be great.
