I have my MBA also...... My drive to get the MBA was more/less in
preparation for other events.....and plus the military paid for it. Yes, I
enjoyed the marketing, accounting classes etc. The CCIE on the other hand
has very little to do with someone else paying for it. Every company I have
ever worked for has volunteered reimbursement for those who pass but, that
in no way increases the number of people who pass this exam. With that being
said, I do this, studying for my IE, because I have yet to find another job
where I get to do what I like and get paid for it... and to think, the more
I learn about my "hobby" the more they'll pay me... isn't that just
ridiculous :o). So yes, I come home every night tired and weary and I enjoy
the journey.... that's what drives me to learn more. If you're doing this
for the money, then it will have little value vs. if you do this because you
enjoy playing with this stuff just enough to go insane :o)

?
My 2 cents:

I have a MBA, and right now I have the CCNP. I hope I will pass the CCIE
next
week (April 11th) at RTP on my second try.

I love working with networks, the MBA doesnt help me to get jobs like that,
the CCNP has made me get interesting jobs.
So in my particular point of view, getting a CCNP its better than a MBA!!!!!

Its all about what you want..... isnt?
