Hi Group,

Trunk + Ether channel question.

The question asks to configure the industry standard ether channel and trunk
in there of the switch interfaces.

The IE solution guide config as below:

interface FastEthernet0/13

channel-group 1 mode active

!

interface FastEthernet0/14

channel-group 1 mode active

!

interface FastEthernet0/15

channel-group 1 mode active

!

interface Port-channel1

switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

switchport mode trunk

1) Based on the solution, the dot1q is configured only at the port channel
(LACP) interface. So the interface in this group will be automatically be
the trunk port, is it correct??

2) On other way, if the question asks to configure LACP port channel with
ISL trunk, can I follow the same setup, I mean just configure the trunk at
the port channel interface, will it be enough??

Basically I am confused, on IE solution, for some scenario they apply trunk
configuration at both port channel and FE interfaces. In the above case
applied only at the port channel interface.

Sorry to sent many question, Please advice me.

Regards.
Pandi
