Hi all,
Trying to configure SNMP MAC address traps on a 3750 switch and I got the
following error that the UDP Ports cannot be opened as shown below.
sw1(config)#snmp-server enable traps mac-notification ?
<cr>
sw1(config)#snmp-server enable traps mac-notification
sw1(config)#
02:12:20: %IP_SNMP-3-SOCKET: can't open UDP socket
02:12:20: Unable to open socket on port 161
sw1(config)#
02:13:20: %IP_SNMP-3-SOCKET: can't open UDP socket
02:13:20: Unable to open socket on port 161
02:14:20: %IP_SNMP-3-SOCKET: can't open UDP socket
02:14:20: Unable to open socket on port 161
02:15:20: %IP_SNMP-3-SOCKET: can't open UDP socket
02:15:20: Unable to open socket on port 161
Anybody with a better idea on what do this message means ?
