Well, I was never sure I would have the opportunity to type this email.
I'm extremely happy to share with you guys that after 3 years of on/off
and
last 6-8 months of continuous study/pain and scarifying
evenings/weekends,
with the grace of Lord, I passed my CCIE lab this Fri in San Jose.
I can finally come out of my hole and see some sunlight out there...:)
People say it is hard to sleep before the lab, I would say, its even
harder to
sleep the night after! I woke up 3 times and checked the on-line status,
which
was down for maintenance. After checking several times, Sat morning it
came on line
with a blank entry....ah..what a torture. Eventually I went out for
dinner to distract
myself. Came back and usual score-report email was waiting there.
With no-heartbeat, I clicked on it and voila - the first line says the
word "Pass"!!!
Clicking on it would take me to the status with no CCIE # yet...but I
knew I made it.
On Sun morning, just now, I can see my #...!!!
I want to specially thank my remote study partners Ajaz Nawaz and Cham
and local
study partner David, for lots of brain storming in last few months.
Without their
support it would not have been possible.
I want to, of course, pay back lots of time and sacrifice made by my
wife who would
patiently let me study in after hours with a very hectic job.
And although I was not a regular visitor of this study group, thanks to
all of you
as I learned some very key things from you guys.
Good luck to all of you future CCIEs.
Signing off !!!!!!!!
/Nadeem
