OT: Teaching CCNP Courses

Hi there

If a CCSI attended all the 4 CCNP version 1 courses and passed the 4 exams
with instructor scores, can they now teach CCNP version 2 courses by passing -
with instructor scores - the new 4 CCNP version 2 exams? Or do they also have
to sit the 4 courses again as well?

We're getting contradicting information from 2 different Cisco training
partners. One says:
".. when there is a major version change (from 1 to 2 for example) then
instructors are normally required to attend either a TTT session or a normal
class then pass the exams with instructor score. for minor releases (2.1 to
2.2 for example, in most cases nothing is required and in extreme cases an
on-line TTT session)."

The other one says:

"as of early 2004 Cisco has changed the rules for CCNP (just for CCNP). And
now, attendance for CCNP courses is recommended but not essential to teach
them as a CCSI."

My CCSI friend has been teaching a number of customised courses etc. He wants
to start delivering CCNP training I think because he was certified to teach
CCNP version 1, He'd be allowed to teach CCNP version 2 due to the change
Cisco introduced in 2004.

Any thoughts (we're checking with Cisco too...).

Thanks

Dave
