Good point. This survey probably asked readers which certs they were
most likely to pursue this year, or the ones of most interest. It had
nothing to do with what employers are looking for, nor did it actually
ask which cert they'd most like to have hanging from their wall. Here
I'm sure the CCIE and JNCIE would have done very well. People are
probably (and rightfully) scared by the time and money required to
obtain either one. Imagine C&D (Car and Driver) asking a similar
question. People might say a Toyota Camry as an interesting car and/or
likely purchase, but they probably dream of having a
Benz/Ferrari/Porsche/whatever in the garage :)

I had a quick read of the cert list and the cert that had the best
"buzz" rating - which is the rating from those in the know, was ccie
with 9. No other got 9. It only came 6th because of a low reader
rating.
