I know a lot of PMP's of late - I might have rated this #1 myself.
I am also amazed CISSP did not make it (again...)
Notice the SSCP replaced the CISSP - anybody see a trend?
Granted, the above are indeed "hot" certifications;
I am being pushed to obtain the PMP soon myself...

As far as the MS certs they are BS IMHPO.
I know many of these "certified indiciduals";
In various positions at various companies.
Fact is that the majority have no clue what they are doing.
When the have a problem they call a contractor.
And usually the contractor cannot fix it.
There's some finger-pointing to apps,
The problem does not get resolved...
And the cycle starts all over again.
It pisses me off - I do my own work, I don't rely on contractors.
If I have an issue I investigate the problem, ping off others.
At least try to be resourceful before you throw your hands up,
(Did I mention the finger pointing?)
They don't even bother - they say "Microsoft told me so..."

I do understand I am stabbing myself here, as I still retain MS certs, but they always have been and always will make me laugh when I see any of them in the "top 5" of any "desireable" list.

When they make them come in to a lab to build a SQL-Exchange-Integrated-Forest with ample worktation connectivity, domain policy, and all the stuff that goes along with it in 8 hours (as it takes at least half of that time just to download the updates) that actually works I'll stop laughing (even at myself from time to time).

Sorry if I insulted anyone here.
I am just stating what I know for fact!
