RE: Where is it?? IE LAB 8 vol1 -Multicast helper map Vs DOC CD

Hello,

I think that cisco has corrected the DOCCD on version 12.4,~
See
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios124/124cg/hi
mc_c/chap10/mcbcigmp.htm#wp1084257

And compare with 12.2
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122cgcr/
fipr_c/ipcpt3/1cfmulti.htm#wp1003511

On the first they finally assume that it is the incoming interface on
the last hop router that is responsible for the multicast to broadcast
conversion, opposite of what is said on version 12.2 link.

Apparently there's someone at Cisco reviewing DocCD stuff from time to
time.

Nevertheless I had opportunity to try out IEWB solution when studying
and it works, so thanks to Brian for making available to all a working
solution to this.

My .02$

Gustavo Novais

The solutions are on our member's site:
http://members.internetworkexpert.com.

For the benefit for the people that do not own the IEWB-RS workbook here
is a link to the question, solution, and diagram.

http://www.internetworkexpert.com/downloads/mcast-helper.pdf

Also note at this point in the lab, multicast has already been
configured between the two routers (R1 & R2) in the question.

Dear Brian;

I tried to find IE solution from your web site, only to fail.

Where is it located? Or could you post the solution?

Regards,
Nick.
