I had similar problems with the CCIE Assessor Lab. I used the latest
version of Java with Internet Explorer on a brand new PC (no other
software installed) and it kept freezing, sometimes the graphics would
just go blank!
The notepad feature is also horrible! I just re-typed the commands. I
emailed Cisco about this last December but I'm still waiting to hear a
reply on my feedback..... might send my 5th reminder tomorrow :-)
I too would recommend avoiding this lab until the Java terminal app is
fixed unless you know a combination of browser/Java that works!
