I thought the smiling dude was happy becuase his job was easier and the old dude, which Cisco is trying to portray as "less than technical", has no idea how it works and is very confused. In the meantime the guy smiling still gets paid, and probably gets a bonus/raise/great_review when his company's network stays up and running while their neighbors suffer downtime calculated by Cisco by billions_of_$'s/sec.
That's all saw into it on the site,
And certainly *exactly* how I interpreted it on ESPN :)
At second glance in just looking at the picture, if you did not see the commercial and/or had a strong political/managerial/ethnic bias; The old dude may be having an aneurysm, stroke, etc... and the smiling guy might really be enjoying it for whatever reason...!
