FWIW, there are different approaches to actually learning something.
The Ipexpert structure happens to take 18 protocol-specific labs (i.e. if
you need to work on OSPF why spend your time with a bunch of other things
to work out what equates to "8 points" of OSPF?). This helps foster
learning. 19 through 44 (whichh is more than 22 last I added) are
multiprotocol labs following a point scale to make people feel better.
I don't get into the pricing part of things, and you're welcome to complain
or criticize there as that is the whole concept of competition! But if you
are going to analyze things and determine their worth, please do so with a
little thought instead of a reactionary approach that tells me you haven't
thought about WHY something is the way it is (book design).
With NMC you only get 24 labs. Where does that make them rank??? (Note:
quantity of things offered does not indicate quality, nor the ability to
help teach)
Also, where do you come up with idea that Ipexpert has Cisco as its largest
customer? That's absurd.
And last, how long someone studies should not be a driver for everyone else
to set their prices... If that were true then cars should be really cheap,
because we always need them, and they keep breaking after a while, and need
to be replaced. What's up with that???

Relax a little. People take criticism. They don't take blind stabs trying
to make people look bad.

Regarding the prices you say are comarable to other vendor, I do not agree
with you that you are comparable to other vendors. Lets compare f ex
workbook prices : (I am comparing to IE since you and them are the two
biggest providers)
IPEXPERT :
workbook for r&s : $499
proctor guide r&s :$499
(remember here that you need both of this to get the same content as in the
IE workbook. Ans with that I meand the labs in the workbook + you need the
proctor guid for a detailed walk-through of the labs in the workbook)
IE :
workbook for r&s : $495 (included the walk-trough)
(with this price you get the walk-through of the labs (same as ipexperts
proctor guide included in the price.)
If we compare a litlebit more ipexperts wb contain 40 labs, but only 22 of
these are 100 point(8hour) labs, the other are not.
In IEs wb you have 30 100 point(8 hours) labs..
So, can you please explain to me this. To me it looks like your prices are
double of that of IE. I would really like to know what you mean when you say
that this is comarable.
I do really understand that you dont get much complains on this since your
largest customer are Cisco, because they do get this sponsored from their
firm,
and why should they complain about the price when they dont pay this them
selfe.. Remember that most people do not get this sponsored, and have to pay
this them selfe. Also, most people are studying for years, and would maybe
need
more than one workbook. This gets very expensive as you go..
