You can just put the MVRAM chip in a 2600 and then recover the configuration as I stated in my last e-mail on this subject.
The NVRAM chip is located right next to the bootrom in the 2600's and 3620's.

Hello,
I'm sorry to say you are most likely SOL. See Document ID: 46104
We recently ran into this with a customer on a 3640. This document lists
2 recovery procedures for 3640. Neither one worked! For your hardware only one applies. We replicated this in our shop and ended up sending the customer a new router. The document says to removed battery-backed-up SRAM on 3640. This was not removable. We did the recovery which was supposed to
erase config. It did not erase the NVRAM.
Contact the person who sold it to you.

Unable to perform password recovery..HELP!!
Hi Group,
I just received a couple of routers (a 3620 & a 2611) I bought of of
EBay
to find out that both routers are password protected... The problem is
I'm
unable to perform a password recovery as this feature has been disabled
on
both routers.. (very nice of them to do that)..
Is there a way around it??
Your help will be most appreciated as I really need to start my lab
training..
Thank you kindly,
AE
