Re-Score - worth the $250???

Although positive of success before during and after the exam - I failed
for time #3 on Monday 12/12 at San Jose.

I'm contemplating a re-score, but can't help but feeling that I'm just
donating $250 directly to Cisco with little chance of a fair-jury.

Can some people share their re-score stories/experiences? How many
people have actually received their CCIE from the re-score attempt?

TIA for your thoughts on the matter.
