How about that, sequential numbers on the study list.
Below is my message to friends and coworkers.
Although I started looking at this list later on in my studies, I found
it very helpful at times.
Thanks to everyone here for:
asking the same questions we were thinking about
asking the same questions in a different way
answering or attempting our questions in their own way
All of these things make us think and understand the topics at a level
necessary to succeed at the CCIE challenge.
This is truly a great resource.
Now I'm going to go home and power down my test lab...I'll probably have
to turn up the heat in the house to compensate.
Below is my message to friends, family and business associates.
I passed my Cisco CCIE Routing and Switching Lab in Research Triangle
Park yesterday.
It's been a long journey and I have many people to thank for helping me
along the way.
First and most importantly I want to thank my family. Michelle, Ashley
and Kyle have by far sacrificed the most as I have spent roughly 700
hours of mostly evenings and weekends over the last 9 months studying
and practicing for this test. Not to mention the time away from home
for training and testing. I look forward to spending the holidays with
them!
Thanks to Inacom for providing me with everything I have asked for from
training materials, practice equipment, travel expenses and flexibility
in my schedule to give me time to devote to this endeavor. Additional
thanks to the rest of the Infrastructure team for assisting my customers
as needed while I was working on this "project". Thanks to Dan Reddy,
my study partner, who will soon be a CCIE himself.
Thanks to my customers for their support, flexibility and understanding
as this was one more commitment to fit into my already busy schedule.
(I promise to now return any equipment I may have borrowed for my home
lab)
Thanks to Scott Morris from IPExpert training. If you need to study for
a CCIE, take a bootcamp with this Quad CCIE. He pushed me to learn and
more importantly understand in one week what would have taken 6 months
or more on my own, and we even managed to have some fun.
One final thanks to the Madison Firefighters Local 311 for their
encouragement and good luck charm. This accomplishment of mine pale's
in comparison to what they do on a daily basis.
